William E. Schlichter

William E. Schlichter, 95 of Emmaus formerly of Quakertown died February 23, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of Grace C. (Oswald) Wessner Schlichter. They were married 45 years last September. Born in Sellersville, PA he was the son of the late Ralph & Florence (Ely) Schlichter. He was a stamp and coin dealer in Quakertown before retiring in 1972. Prior to that he operated farms in the Kempton and Quakertown Areas. William was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp., serving during WW II with the European Theatre of Operations. In addition to his wife he is survived by a step-son Samuel R. Wessner (Maria) and a step daughter Debra L. Wessner. Two sisters Laura Vaughan (late Harry) and Mary Whitemore (late Robert). A step grandson Steven. Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Robert Schlichter. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R.
