Margaret (Margie) Mary Braun went peacefully from one life to the next with her loving family by her side on April 29, 2016 after a strong battle with a long illness. She was 59. Born in Warrington, Margie was the daughter of the late Robert and Kathleen (Bogle) Braun. Margie was a graduate of Archbishop Wood High School, Class of 1974. During her high school tenure, Margie played various sports and was considered an "all-around, all-natural" athlete. Due to her amazing athletic talent and ability, she was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005 for swimming, volleyball, and track and field. Margie also coached various sports through her churchs CYO program to mentor student-athletes so that they could reach their highest athletic potentials, just like she had done. Margie was employed by Genuardis Supermarket during the 1980s first as a store clerk and then as a store manager. She was a devoted employee of Genuardis, always there to lend a helping hand to customers and staff. She took great pride in being a store manager and always spoke very highly of her time there and of the staff she worked with on a daily basis. Margie moved to Florida in 1998 and became very active within her community. She was a volunteer member of the Board of Directors for Florida Home Partnership, Inc. and a volunteer Board Member for Hidden Creek Homeowners Association. As a Board Member for Hidden Creek, she was also elected president for one year in 2012. As an avid sports enthusiast, Margie enjoyed watching sports especially college basketball and football. She had the uncanny ability to remember players, statistics, and unforgettable plays, which she would share with anyone willing to listen. She almost always knew which college teams would be competing in the play-offs each year. You could always find her sitting in front of the television, with a coca-cola, shouting and cheering for the games being played during the fall, winter and spring sports seasons. Margie loved to travel especially to Cancun, Mexico, where she enjoyed learning about the culture, eating exotic food, watching entertainment, and, above all, swimming in the Caribbean. She was also a huge fan of Disney World and would visit there once a year to check out the new shows, shops, festivities, and decorations. She was a passionate animal lover having owned many dogs during her lifetime, which she cared for like they were her own children. She was also a collector of trinkets particularly that of Snoopy her favorite cartoon character. Every year at Christmas time, she would decorate the front of her house with all types of Snoopy decorations and lights, and often won first prize within her development for the best decorative display. Margie had such a love for life that you could always find her laughing and telling jokes just to make people smile. She loved to be active and would help people whenever needed, no questions asked. She took great pride in being a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed, but certainly never forgotten. Margie is survived by her four brothers Robert (Barbara), Michael, John (Donna), and Charles (Donna) and one sister Kathleen (Sam), her nephews David, Michael, John, Chuck and Matt, and her nieces Katie, Kerri, Laura, and Chelsea. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am on Thursday, June 2, followed by her funeral service at 11:00am at St. Robert Bellarmine, 856 Euclid Avenue, Warrington, PA 18976. I thought I saw her face today In the sparkle of the morning sun. And then I heard the angel say, 'Her work on earth is done.' I thought I heard her voice today Then laugh her hearty laugh. And then I heard the angel say, 'There's peace little one at last.' I thought I felt her touch today In the breeze that rustled by. And then I heard the angel say, 'The spirit never dies.' I thought that she had left me For the stars so far above. And then I heard the angel say, 'She left you with her love.' I thought that I would miss her And never find my way. And then I heard the angel say, 'She's with you every day.' Source: http://www.familyfriendpoems.com.
