Joseph M. Hillegas, 81, of Quakertown died July 5, 2005 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of Edna M. (Bauman) Hillegas. They were married 57 years on July 4th. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late Jacob F. & Edna F. (Moyer) Hillegas. He retired in 1987 after 35 years of service for the U.S. Gauge Ametek Division in Sellersville. He was a member of the United Mennonite Church in Quakertown where he was a former church trustee, Sunday School treasurer and superintendent and also a MDS representative. He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving during WW II. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son James R. Hillegas of Beacon Falls, CT. Three daughters Dora Hillegas of Lancaster, Peggy wife of Robert Gerhart and Gail wife of William Harr both of Quakertown. Five grandchildren Chris, Eric, Joel, Jason, & Kelly and two great grandchildren Kayla & Hailey. He was predeceased by a son Alan J. and two brothers Richard and Rev. David. Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at United Mennonite Church 180 Thatcher Rd., Quakertown, Pa 18951. Call 9:00-10:30 A.M. in the church. The C. R.
