Irene B. Martin, 69, of Quakertown died Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Russell C. Martin, Sr. They were married 46 years last October. Born in Hokendauqua, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert & Beatrice (Rennig) Deiter. She was employed for the Quakertown School District as a cook for Tohickon Valley Elementary School before her retirement. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons Russell C.,Jr. and his wife Denise of Quakertown and Kevin T. in New York City. A daughter Karen I. wife of Donald Pelham of Green Lane. Three brothers Thomas and his wife Barbara of Northampton, Robert and his wife Alberta of East Stroudsburg and Leonard of Slatington. A sister Diane Balikian of Catasauqua. Three grandchildren Russell III, Melissa, and Heather. She was predeceased by a brother Carson. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
