George C. Heverly, 92, of Haycock Twp., passed away Saturday evening on July 23, 2016. Born on October 24, 1923 in Bath, PA, to Clair and Ruth (White) Heverly, George served in the U.S. Air Force in the 485th Bomb Group during WWII as a top turret gunner in a B-24 bomber. George was a welder by trade, working for Electrospace Fabricators in Topton, PA and owned Heverly Welding in Haycock Twp. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing in Tioga County. George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna (Beck) Heverly and their three children, Carol, wife of Stanley Heckler and their daughter, Jennifer of Coopersburg, Alan and his wife, Karen Davis of Bethlehem, and Timothy and his wife, Carol (Courtney) Heverly and their children, Tyler and Courtney of Haycock Twp. George was predeceased by his brothers, Robert, Earl, and Leo, and his two sisters, Mary (Heverly) Mulloy and Ruth (Heverly) Hoffhines. A calling hour will be held from 10-11 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016 with church services immediately following at Peace-Tohickon Lutheran Church 100 Old Bethlehem Rd, Perkasie, PA 18944. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peace-Tohickon Evangelical Lutheran Church.
