Colin "Scotty" Howieson, 72 of Quakertown died Saturday September 17, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Diane (Schaffer) Howieson. They celebrated 36 years of marriage in May. Born in Bellshill, Scotland, he was the son of the late Alexander and Joan Amy (Williamson) Howieson. He was last employed as a diesel mechanic. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Marine Corps. Scotty was also a member of the Marine Corps League. He had a passion for cars from repairing them to attending car shows. He also enjoyed putting together models especially airplane models which coincided with his love of flying. Scotty also had a love for horses. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Paul Howieson (Lauri) of Horsham two daughters Sue Bartholomew of Richlandtown and Wendy Mosko (Michael) of Quakertown. Grandchildren Cody, Courtney, Colin, Zach, Alex and Lucas and a great granddaughter Karli Rose. He is also survived by Nick, Sheila, Annalise and Gianna Falciano. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 West Broad St. Quakertown PA 18951.
