William W. Meyers

William W. Meyers, 90, of Quakertown died October 31, 2011 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of Uteen (Joos) Meyers they were married 27 years in August. He was also the husband of the late Jane E. (Sowers) Meyers. Born in Coopersburg he was the son of the late Erwin & Elsie (Martin) Meyers. He retired in 1984 as a molder for Associated Rubber Company in Quakertown. William was a member of the Quakertown American Legion Post 242, and enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and walking in the woods, he was also an avid gardener. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richlandtown. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WW II, prior to joining the army he served in the CCC camp for three years during the depression. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son William E. and his wife Mary Ann of Quakertown. A daughter Beverly Meyers Fox and her husband Robert of Trooper, PA. A sister Dorothy Myers of Quakertown. Two grandchildren Andrew & Adam Meyers. Two step daughters Charlene Cressman and her husband Thomas Funk of Allentown, and Karen Mobley and her husband Mark of Johns Island, SC. Three step grandchildren William Kline, Candice Peterson (Lorenzo), and Shandra Kee (Michael). Three step great grandchildren Braden, Inara, Jovie. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Graveside Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
