William J. Samph, 94, of Quakertown died September 23, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of the late Annie Mary (Graham) Samph. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late William & Helen (Lasitzke) Samph. He retired in the 1980s as a Aero Space Engineer for the former Ametek/U.S. Gauge Division. William was a member of the Quakertown Lions Club, and the Quakertown American Legion Post 242. He also enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, crafts, and travelling. At the 1939 World's Fair in New York Mr. Samph won for a model Aircraft design. His family was very important to him especially his grandkids. He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran serving during WW II. He was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church in Quakertown. Survived by a son William M. Samph and his wife Angela. Five grandchildren Chris, William, Ian, Tess and Tyler, six great grandchildren David, Jayden, Bailey, Layla, Eliza, and Geneva. He was predeceased by a son Douglas J. Samph, a daughter Dianne Samph and a grandson Gavin. Services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W.
