William J. Myers

William J. Myers, 94, of Quakertown went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2012. He was the husband of the late Doris B. (Wirehouse) Myers for 65 years. Born in Philadelphia on July 5, 1917 he was the son of the late Gottlieb & Marion (Harvey) Myers. He retired in 1982 from the former Automatic Timing and Controls, Inc. of King of Prussia. He was lovingly ministered to by his church family of Quakertown Baptist Church. William was a faithful prayer warrior, and student of the scripture, reading through all the scriptures every year. He also wrote poems to glorify God. He is survived by a daughter Bonnie Fry and her husband Steven, and a son Jim and his wife Joy. Five grandchildren Jonathan, Linda, Tom, Kevin, and Stephanie. Five great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike Ambler, Pa 19002. A Homegoing Celebration will be held in the Fall at Camp Haluwasa in Hammonton, NJ. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements.
