William H. Rupell, 78, of Limerick died January 15, 2010 in Parkhouse Providence Pointe in Royerford. He was the husband of Jacqueline M. (Dulz) Rupell. They were married 58 years last June. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Willie L. & Mary Inez (Brown) Rupell. He was a carpentry teacher at Limerick Vo-Tech and an administrator for SUN Vo-Tech and Indiana County Vo-Tech. Prior to that he was a carpenter for 19 years at R.B. Harwick & Sons. William received his masters degree in vocational education at Temple University graduating Cum Laude. He was a school board member of Springfield Township, president and vice president of Palisades Jointure, a member of the joint board of the Upper Bucks Vo-Tech School, and a member of the American Federation of Teachers Administrators Association. William enjoyed singing and was a member of the Zion Choral Society for over 40 years, as well as singing in several other church choirs. He was also the director of the Jr. Drum and Bugle Corps in Richlandtown. He enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Gilbertsville Lions Club and the Elderton PA Lions Club. He was a Radioman Third Class in the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. William was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Limerick. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons William C. and his wife Cindy of Weatherford, Texas and David K. of Coral Springs, Florida. A daughter in law Terri of Gilbertsville. Two sisters Carolyn Long and her husband Clair, Sandra Myers and her husband Robert and a brother Roy G. and his wife Rita all of Quakertown. A sister-in-law Phyllis Rupell of Quakertown. Thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son James C. and a brother Gale. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
