William (Bill) F. Quier, Sr. 59, of Coopersburg passed away Thursday April 21, 2016 due to a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Jane (Koch) Quier. Bill was born in Quakertown, the Son of the late Shirley J. Quier, and was a lifelong resident of the Quakertown-Coopersburg area. He graduated in 1974 from Palisades High School and Upper Buck Vo-Tech. He was employed by American Olean Tile, until the plant closed. His next employment was with CemcoLift until its closure. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, Q-Mart flea market shopping and small scale farming. Bill is survived by his Sons, William (Billy) F. Quier, Jr. and Jason Quier and beloved brother to Allen "Skeetz" (Rose) Quier. He was the son-in-law of Mark and Elizabeth Koch and brother-in-law to his wifes 8 siblings: Pat (Jay) Landis; Mark (Nancy) Koch; Kathy (Chuck) Spencer; Brian Koch; David (Karin) Koch; Alan Koch; Thomas (Kimberly) Koch and Tim (Sonya) Koch and many nieces, nephews and one great nephew and Uncles: Harry Jr. (Connie) Quier; Bruce Quier and Aunt(s): Jean Quier; Annette Keegan and many cousins. He is predeceased by infant son Eric Quier, niece Elizabeth Koch, nephew Nicholas Koch and cousin Jeffrey Quier and Uncles: Lamar (Jim) Quier; Donald Quier; Robert Quier; William (Betty) Quier; Andrew Keegan and Aunt Elaine Mory. Bill had many lifelong childhood friends that he cherished as family: John (Annie) Plessel; Alex Plessel; Andy & Tom Siroka; Rich Shearer; Ernie Weaver and recently departed Elmer Shearer and Frank Maisano.
