William C. Wimmer

William C. Wimmer, 96 of Bethlehem formerly of Titusville, NJ died Wednesday November 26, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Rachel M. (Wambold) Wimmer. They celebrated 69 years of marriage last January. Born in Perkasie he was the son of the late Charles and Minnie (VonBieren) Wimmer. He was a machinist for Dow Jones in New Brunswick, NJ retiring in 1989 after 23 years of service. William was a 33rd degree Mason and Past Master of Amwell Lodge #12 in Lambertville, NJ. He was also a member of the Trenton Shriners and the Chanters Chorus Group. He was the former secretary of the Crescent Temple Yacht Club in Trenton, NJ and a lifetime member of the Union Fire Co. in Titusville. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Gary W. Wimmer of Center Valley and his fiance Kim Conner, a grandson Dustin W. Wimmer of Quakertown, sister Evelyn Fretz and her husband Dennis of Yardley and former daughter in law Sarah Wimmer of Pennsburg. He was predeceased by three brothers Wayne, Jimmy and Donald and four sisters Dorothy, June, Betty and Mary. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 6, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown PA 18951. There will be no calling hours. The family will greet family and friends at the luncheon to follow services.
