Wilbert James Hiser, 88, of the Germantown section of Philadelphia died Saturday, January 27, 2007 in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Twsp. He was the husband of Bertha Irene Jeannette Hiser. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary last February. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Walter & Erma (Westman) Hiser. He was a self-employed florist and owner of W. J. Hiser Florist on Chelten Avenue in Philadelphia. He was a member of the Solid 30 Club in Philadelphia and a member of the Keystone Striper Association of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Wilbert was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WW II stationed in the Philippines. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons James Franklin Hiser and his wife Elizabeth Clements Hiser of Birchrunville, Pa, Roger Bruce Hiser of Lower Gwynedd and a daughter Irene Jeannette Hiser Macauley and her husband Bruce Todd of Newport Beach, CA. Three grandchildren Christopher Franklin Hiser, Jesse Todd Hiser and Stephen Reed Hiser. A great grandchild Callie Swanson. Services will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 11:45 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call Thursday 11:00-11:45 A. M. in the funeral home.
