Walter Surman, 82, of Coopersburg died Thursday, May 11, 2006 in Valley Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Coopersburg. He was the husband of Anna (Novak) Surman. They were married 47 years last November. Born in Haycock Twsp., he was the son of the late Joseph & Mary Surman. He was co-owner of Surman Brothers Lumber Co. in Coopersburg before his retirement in 1976. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp. Veteran serving during WW II. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Bethlehem.(Colesville) In addition to his wife he is survived by a son David W., Sr. of Coopersburg and his fiancee Joy C. Ditchey. A brother Louis of Haycock Twsp. Two grandchildren Samantha and David W., Jr. A mass will be held on TUESDAY, May 16, 2006 at 11:30 A.M. at the Church of the Assumption 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA.
