Walter Straume, 89, of Quakertown died April 4, 2013 in St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Marta Straume for 66 years prior to her death on December 26, 2012. Born in Staicecle, Latvia he was the son of the late Jekabs & Natalija Straume. He was the manager for the former Eagle Factory Outlet Store in Quakertown before retiring. Walter enjoyed fishing, boating, and gardening. He was a member of Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bucks County & Vicinity. He is survived by two sons Aivars Straume and Martin Straume and his wife Anne. A brother Janis Straume and his wife Tamara. Three grandchildren Kirstin Crouthamel and her husband Todd, Erika Straume and her fiance Marc Schaeffer, and Alex Straume. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 7:00-8:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. There will be no services.
