Thomas Farace

Thomas Nicholas Farace of Palm Coast, Florida, died August 31, 2015 from an acute episode of chronic illnesses. Tom was under treatment in Palm Coast Florida where he was hospitalized and then under hospice care. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 30, 1937, Tom was the only son of Florence Virginia Parks Farace and Joseph David Farace. He is survived by a sister, five children as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. One grandson, Chad, predeceased Tom. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, Tom achieved a rank of Airman First Class. While serving our country during the Cold War, Tom was based in Tampa, Florida, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After retirement from the position of Regional Manager for one large National Food Business, Tom enjoyed residing at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Later Tom relocated to Palm Coast Florida, and during two decades, Tom found new friends and wonderful neighbors. Tom will be remembered by family and friends as a good heart, a loving sole. Tom was a great story teller of days gone by and cherished memories of his loved ones and his early home life. Toms travels included locations in Pennsylvania, Hawaii, California, Florida, Oklahoma, Morocco and Indiana. Close to Toms heart was the love of nature. Camping, fishing, boating and gardening were a few of his favorite vacation choices. Later in life, Tom was a self-taught artist using watercolor as the medium. A memorial service was held on September 5, at the Lohman Funeral. A service for the family will be held on Saturday, September 12, at the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. Quakertown, PA.
