Obituary Thomas F. Koons, 56 of Zion Hill died Saturday February 29, 2020 in the Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Karen L. (Seachrist) Koons. They celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary last October. Born in Quakertown he was the son of Jean E. (Lucas) Koons of Quakertown and the late George F. Koons, Jr. Before his illness he was a lead designer for Gardner Cryogenics. In his early years he was employed by Rosenberger Dairys. He was a graduate of Quakertown Community High School and a member of both the marching and jazz bands. He was a model train enthusiast and collector. Thomas loved to vacation to Disney World and Knoebels Amusement Park. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zion Hill where he was a former member of the church council and choir. He especially enjoyed playing Taps for the church Memorial Day service. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two sons Doug of Zion Hill and Ryan Reed of New Hope. A brother James A. (Deborah) of Quakertown and two brother in laws, Ed Wagner of Quakertown and Tommy Seachrist of Doylestown. He was predeceased by a sister Faye A. Wagner. PA 18981.
