Sylvia A. Belzner, 72, of Mount Joy, PA formerly of Quakertown and Elbridge, NY died October 23, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenburg. She was the wife of the late Wilhelm F. Belzner. Born in Zion Hill, PA she was the daughter of Mary E. (Thomas) Hixson of Quakertown and the late Dale W. Hixson. Sylvia was a former German teacher in the Quakertown Community School District. She and her late husband were also former owners and operators of County Line Mobile Home Park in Elbridge, NY, Echo Heights Farm in Jordan, NY and the Lake Side Motel in Saranac Lake, NY. She was a member of Erisman Mennonite Church in Manheim, PA. Throughout her life she was an active member in many churches and enjoyed participating in their music programs. She was active with the International Students at Elizabethtown College, her alma mater. She was the college's first overseas exchange student going to Germany where she met her late husband. She was a world traveler making many friends wherever she went, keeping in touch with those she befriended. Sylvia also enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and the love of her grandchildren and their many activities. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three daughters Kim Kreider (Jay) of PA, Susanne Moorehead (Rich) of NY, and Angie Shenk (Merv) of PA. Siblings, D. Wayne (Barbara) of CA, Richard (Joyce) of CA, Barry (Susan) of PA, Deanna Unger (Sam) of IN, John (Gail) of PA, and Sandra Wolfinger (Gary) of PA. Seven grandchildren Josh, Ben, Niko, Philip, Mary Beth, Katrina,Nathan. Services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Bible Fellowship 1811 North Old Bethlehem Pike, Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 9:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, in Elbridge, NY. Arrangements are being handled by the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Erisman Mennonite Church 8 South Erisman Rd.
