Stanley 'Gene' Grinder, Jr

Obituary Stanley "Gene" Eugene Grinder, Jr., 82, of Quakertown formerly of Lower Bucks County, died May 9, 2022 in his home. He was the husband of Maree Jill (Benson) Grinder. They were married 61 years last July. Born in Vandergrift, PA he was the son of the late Stanley E., Sr. & Margaret Edna (Lickenfelt) Grinder. He was also stepson to the late Mary Wells Grinder. He retired in 1991 as a Supervisor for the former US Steel in Fairless Hills, PA. After retiring he helped manage with his wife Extra Space Storage in Warminster, PA. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Great Swamp Fish & Game Club. Stanley also enjoyed many years with his family at their beach home in Oak Island, NC. He was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Gary E. Grinder (Kimberly) of Quakertown; two daughters Robin G. Murphy of Doylestown and Claudine Minet Booz of Quakertown. A brother Robert (Rose) and two sisters Melody Bogart, and Judy Brown. Six grandchildren Erin, Devon (David), Sarah, Karley, Jacob, and Jayson. Predeceased by a brother John Sabonis and a sister Terry Romig. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Calling hours will be from 3:00-4:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Per families wishes those attending please wear a mask.
