Robert A. Young Sr., Quakertown, formerly of Coopersburg died May 12th in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. He was the husband of Betty (Raub) Young. They were married 63 years. Born in Easton, he was the son of the late George A. & Mabel (Daniels) Young. Prior to retirement, he worked as a printer for Indian Valley Printing. Robert was member of Milford Twp. Fire Company for many years and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coopersburg, where he was active in the choir. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a member of the Quakertown American Legion Post 242. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Robert A. Jr. and his wife Shari of Wisconsin; two daughters - Diane G. White and her husband Kenneth of Spinnerstown and Debra Bauman and her husband Bruce of Quakertown; nine grandchildren - Janel, Brendan, Amy, Christopher, Meghann, Lindsay, Joel, Rosie, and Graham. He was predeceased by a brother William Daniels of Coopersburg. Private services will be held on May 17, 2010. Arrangements by the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown.
