Dean A. Winkler, Sr., 43, of Pennsburg formerly of Quakertown died March 12, 2009 in Pottstown Medical Center. He was the husband of Mary Jane (Hoke) Winkler. They were married 17 years last June. Born in Sellersville he was the son of Stanley A. & Adele G. (Yerkes) Winkler of Quakertown. He worked for Penn Builders of Quakertown. Dean was an avid sports fan and was active with his sons in the Upper Perk Youth Baseball Association. Dean was also looking forward to restoring his 67 Chevelle. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Red Hill. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by two sons Dean, Jr., and Derrick both at home. A brother David A. of Pennsburg and a sister Deborah Eisenhart and her husband John of East Greenville. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 17 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Frye & St. Paul's Church Rd., Red Hill. Call Monday evening March 16 from 7:00-8:30 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown and Tuesday 9:00-10:00 A.M. in the church.
