Raymond A. Miller, Sr., 92, of Glenolden and Philadelphia, died on December 30 at the Lutheran Community of Telford, where he resided for the past 8 years. He was married for 38 years to the late Helen I (White) Miller. He was the son of the late John H. & Susan D. (Lightfoot) Miller. For most of his career, he worked at C. H. Davis, Inc., of Ardmore as an electronics technician. Raymond was a graduate of Overbrook High School and the Temple University Technical School. He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Secane serving on the council and property committee and as an usher, Sunday School teacher, and parking attendant and a member of the senior citizens group. Raymond served as a private in the U. S. Army 35th Infantry Divison, 134th Infantry Regiment during World War II, participating in the Normandy invasion and was a member of the America Legion (Briarcliffe Post) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law the Revs. Raymond A., Jr. and Serena Sellers of Quakertown; three grandchildren, Matthew Lee of Cambridge, MA, and Lydia Miller and Evelyn Miller, both of Quakertown. He was predeceased a brother and six sisters. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 10th & West Broad St. Quakertown. Calling hours will follow the memorial service. Interment took place in Glenwood Cemetery, Broomall at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in care of the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
