James C. Lindsay, Sr., 69, of Quakertown died May 30, 2012 in St. Luke's Hospital, Quakertown Campus. He was the husband of the late Alice (Leonard) Lindsay. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Wade B., Sr. & Anna Mae (Kainert) Lindsay. Jim was a car enthusiast attending many area car shows. He was also a member of the Penn Mustang Club. In earlier years he was a car owner and racer at the Vargo Dragway in Perkasie. He was a contributor to Trinity 23 of Quakertown. He was most proud of his grandkids and loved watching them play sports. Known as Pop Pop Tooley he was the honorary flag holder for the Quakertown Dolphins Swim Team. In addition to Jim's family being foremost in his life, he enjoyed life to the fullest and having a good time. He is survived by a son James C., Jr. and his wife Mary of Coopersburg, two daughters Tonja Tooley and her husband Bob of Quakertown, and Erika Coursey and her husband Keith of Coopersburg. A brother Jerry and his wife Joyce of Florida. Eight grandchildren Bobby, Steffen, Jarod, Ethan, Kyle, Sofia, Lindsay, and Elizabeth. Predeceased by three brothers Wade, Jr., Thomas, and Jack, two sisters Joy and Patricia. A celebration of Jim's life will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M. on June 3, 2012 at the home of Jade & Ed Scholl 130 S. 8th St. Quakertown, PA., and then continuing with calling hours from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
