Sr. Fafard, Robert "Bob" C.

Robert "Bob" C. Fafard, Sr., of Quakertown passed away on May 15th, 2013 peacefully in his sleep. Bob married Elizabeth "Betsy"A. (Krier) Fafard on May 9, 1970 celebrating 43 years of marriage this year. Robert was born in Lihue Kauai, HI in June 1947. He graduated from Castle High School Class of 1966 in Oahu and went on to serve in the Army during the Vietnam War earning an honorable discharge. Bob worked as a machine operator in the pharmaceutical field for over 20 years before his retirement. He was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Quakertown where he was an Emeritus Deacon, and where he and his wife Betsy are credited for starting the food pantry 20 years ago which is still in operation today. His greatest moment was caring for his grandchildren. In addition to his wife Betsy he is survived by his two children, Robert (Lisa) and Beth (Dan). Four grandchildren, his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. The family will hold a memorial service on Wednesday May 22, at 7:00 P.M. in Providence Presbyterian Church, 2200 Krammes Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951. Calling hour will be held from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Appropriate Hawaiian wear is suggested; men Hawaiian shirts/slacks, women floral dress/bright colors. In lieu of flowers please consider the needs of the family by contributions of monetary gifts.
