Sr. Brown, Nelson E.

Nelson E. Brown, Sr., of Quakertown formerly of Chalfont died peacefully surrounded by family after a short illness, May 6, 2009 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of the late Ellen (Kozeff) Brown. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late William H. & Margaret (Wilson) Brown He was a retired clerk for the Reading Railroad. Nelson was a member of the Doylestown VFW Post 175 and a U.S. Army veteran of the 1st Infinitry Division, 16th Regiment, B company and served in Germany during World War II. He is survived by his four children Nelson, Jr. and his wife Diane of Sellersville, Don and his companion Glenda Rentz of Big Coppith Key, Florida, Laura Heacock and her husband Philip of Doylestown, and H. Stephen and his wife Lorraine of Bronx, NY. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also survived by a son-in-law Mike Vasta of Chalfont. He was predeceased by two sons William and Leonard and a daughter Elena Vasta. He will be fondly remembered and missed for his constant sense of humor and positive attitude.
