Sandra E. Woosnam

Sandy (Ellis) Woosnam, Ottsville, formerly of the New Hope / Doylestown area died July 12th at her daughter's home in Quakertown. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mary (White) Ellis and Michael Ellis and his wife Betty Lou of North Carolina. She attended Buckingham Friends School and Linden Hall. Sandy dedicated most of her life to foster parenting. She was an avid bird breeder and antique dealer. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all. She is survived by a son Jeff and his wife Julie of Warrington; two daughters - Robin Haff and her husband Alex of Quakertown and Michele James of Warwick; a brother Gordon W. Ellis and his wife Pauline of Naples, NY, seven grandchildren - Cassandra, Sarah, Kathryn, Jeffrey, Christopher, Jonathan, and Evan; and former husbands Jack Conant and Douglas Woosnam. She was predeceased by a brother Thomas R. Ellis. The family will be conducting memorial services on Saturday, July 19th from 11:00am to 2:00pm at 1795 Myers Road in Quakertown and on August 6th in Naples, NY. Cremation services were handled by the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. Quakertown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society - Highpoint Professional Bldg, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914 or the Bucks County SPCA - Street Road, Lahaska, PA 18931.
