Samuel "Gil" Rayne, Jr., 89, of Doylestown formerly of Roslyn died March 22, 2016 in the home of his daughter Alice. He was the husband of the late Sue T. Rayne. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Samuel G. & Virgie A. (Campbell) Rayne. Before retiring he was a Customer Engineer for IBM at the Fort Washington location. Gil was an airplane, car, and motorcycle enthusiast riding his motorcycle until the age of 82. He also enjoyed spending time at his Melbourne Beach Home in Florida. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran achieving the rank of CWO-4. He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship in Quakertown and loved his church family. He is survived by two daughters Alice R. Millar and Kathryn R. Brewer (Terry) both of Quakertown. Four grandchildren Erin and Jason Millar, Blake Brewer (Leah) and Emily London (Josh) Two great granddaughters Aniela Rayne Brewer and Charlie Jane Brewer. Predeceased by two brothers James Durant Rayne, Austin L. Rayne , and a sister Mary H. Logan. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace Bible Fellowship 1811 N. Old Bethlehem Pike Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 9:00-10:00 A.M. in the church. Arrangements are in the care of the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown.
