Russell P. Koehler, 82 of Quakertown died Saturday April 1, 2006 in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. He was the husband of Dorothy A. (Weiss) Koehler. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on January 8, 2006. He was a maintenance technician for the former AT&T in Allentown retiring in 1986 after 35 years of service. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late Lyman and Irma (Kratz) Koehler. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Quakertown and a former member of the church choir and was active in the church Sunday school class. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corp. He was an assistant Boy Scout leader of Troop #13 in Trumbauersville. Russell enjoyed woodworking and the outdoors especially gardening, hiking and camping. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Debbie Stover and her husband Dean of Coopersburg, a son David R. and his wife Chris of Ida Grove, Iowa. A brother Roger and his wife Marie of Martinsburg, Pa. a sister Fern Mill of Dublin. Three grandchildren Todd Koehler and his wife Paula, Drew and Danielle Stover. Two great granddaughters Morgan and Vanessa Koehler. He was predeceased by a daughter Leanne, twin brother Earl and brother Ralph. Services will be held on Wednesday April 5, at 11:00 a.m. at First U.C.C. 4th and Park Ave., Quakertown, Pa. 18951. Call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
