Ruby D. Kollar, 83, of Quakertown died August 23, 2009 in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Twp. She was the wife of the late John A. Kollar. Born in Lebanon, NH she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dora (Carey) Gray. She was last employed at Mid-Guard, Inc. Prior to that she was a seamstress for the former Eagle Shirt Makers of Quakertown and she was also a former telephone switch operator. Ruby enjoyed nature especially gardening of her flowers, and feeding and watching the birds throughout the year at her home. She also enjoyed crafts especially crocheting. She was a former volunteer with the Trumbauersville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary especially enjoying helping with the carnival. Ruby is survived by a son Richard J. of Quakertown, a daughter Nancy A. Mackow and her husband Thomas of Green Lane. Two sisters Dot Laro and Eleanor Kibbey both of Lebanon, NH. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Services will be held on Friday, August 28 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.
