Roger B. Saboe, 90, of Allentown, PA, formerly of Perham, Madison, and Dawson, MN, died June 20, 2015. He was the husband of Beverly A. (Hauge) Saboe for 63 years. Born in Dawson, MN, he was the son of the late Ben B. & Glady (Femrite) Saboe. Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the South Pacific on board the SC 1039 Subchaser and the USS Refuge hospital ship. He attended Worcester College, OH, and the Minnesota School of Business. His business career included time with Standard Oil, auto parts firms, and the family owned trucking business. While Roger spent most of his life in Minnesota, he and his family traveled extensively throughout the U.S and Canada. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and reading. He was a kind, loving man who loved to joke around and tell stories. He always put his family first and had wonderful friends through the country. In particular, he was proud of his two sons one attended Oxford University and served in the U.S. Diplomatic Corp; and the other attended Yale University and serves the Church as an ordained Lutheran Minister. In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his two sons James (Pamela) of Coopersburg, PA, and Steven (Cynthia) of Washington, D.C. A brother Dennis (Kathryn) of California. Three grandchildren Craig Saboe (Laura), Matt Saboe (April) and Chelsey Saboe (Zach Werner). Five great grandchildren Noah, Leah, Liam, Declan, and Aidan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015at 11:00 AM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church 2966 N Old Bethlehem Pike, Zion Hill, PA 18981. Call 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C.R.
