Robert Wayne Hillegass, 80 of Charlotte, NC formerly of Macungie died Friday August 27, 2010 in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. Born in Old Zionsville, PA he was the son of the late Wayne and Anna Mae (Rush) Hillegass. He was a salesperson for the US Gauge - Ametek Division in Sellersville before his retirement. Wayne was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Salisbury, NC Veterans Affairs. He is survived by a son Robert Wayne Hillegass, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Harrisburg, NC. Two grand daughters Allyson and Kristen. He is also survived by four brothers Larry and Roger both of Casper, WY Glenn of Macungie and Gerald of Quakertown. He was predeceased by a sister Rhea Afflerbach. Services will be held on Friday September 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W.
