Robert "Rab" Mohr

Robert "Rab" Mohr, 75, of Quakertown died Thursday, September 4, 2008 in his home. He was the husband of Jacqueline A. (Underkoffler) Mohr. They were married 54 years in June. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late Paul S. & Helen (Smoll) Mohr. Before retirement he worked for various businesses including Allegheny Ribbon , Western Electric, W.M. Moyer Co, and Berger Accoustical. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post #242, the Quakertown Moose, the Quakertown Pilot Association, and the former Order of the Owls. He was also the past president of the Quakertown Midget Football League. Robert also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Forrestal on the catapult deck, and was a plank owner. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Quakertown. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Douglas, of Quakertown, Diane Kooker of Quakertown, David and his wife Linda of Vestal, NY, Donald and his wife Karin of Quakertown and Dena Smith and her husband Kenneth of Coopersburg. Nine grandchildren Tyrel, Nicole, Katie , Jessica, Jordan, Jared, Daniel, Lara, and Virginia. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
