Robert P. Steich

Robert P. Steich, Sr.,88, of Quakertown died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in his home. He was the husband of the late Doris (Cressman) Steich who died September 30, 1991. Born on Old Bethlehem Pike in Sellersville he was the son of the late Phillip and Alice (Hottel) Steich. He retired as a steel fabricator for Edpac of Trumbauersville. Prior to that he worked for Link Belt-FMC of Colmar and Central Automatic Sprinkler of Lansdale. Robert loved tinkering with his Gravely tractor and traveling throughout the United States from Pennsylvania to California and Canada to Florida. He also loved children, animals and was loved by his family. Robert is survived by five children Robert, Jr and his wife Sarah of Ledyard, Connecticut, Doris L. Jones and her husband Howard of Quakertown, Thomas, Sr. and his wife Debbie of Venice Florida, Terry and his wife Patti of Sellersville and Carole L. McLaughlin and her husband Gregory of Sellersville. Two sisters Evelyn Roeder of Sellersville and Gloria Boyer and her husband John of Tylersport. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers James and Richard, and three sisters Mary Crouthamel, Betty Yoder, and Dorothy Delikat. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Tuesday 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
