Rita C. Hannon, Doylestown, died Sunday, October 14, 2007 in the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. She was 79. Born in Philadelphia, she was the wife of the late William Rhoades Hannon and the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Kerrigan) Clancy. At the age of 15, Rita began working in the Philadelphia Naval Yard building gliders for WW II. She was later employed by FMC Technologies in Colmar and Penn Engineering in Danboro for several years prior to her retirement. Rita was an accomplished artist and painter. She especially enjoyed painting scenes of the Bucks County area. Rita is survived by a son William Hannon and his wife Sandra of Quakertown; two sisters - Terry Andreoli and Peggy Laux; three grandchildren William III, Renee, and Michael Hannon; three great grandchildren - Austin, Kaili, and Jaden Hannon; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W.
