Richard M. Harwick, 73, Quakertown, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Ella (Schaffner) Harwick with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage last August. Born in West Rockhill Township, he was the son of the late Richard W. and Bertha May (Yost) Harwick. Prior to his retirement, Richard was employed by the U.S. Gauge/Ametek Division in Sellersville as a plater. Richard was a member of the North Penn Gun Club. He enjoyed woodworking and took great pride in caring for his lawn. He will be remembered as a quiet man who was proud of his family. Richard also enjoyed spending time with his grand dog Sophie. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Linda and Donna, both of Quakertown and two sisters - Ruth and Joan. He was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.
