Reuben R. Myers

Reuben R. Myers, 95, of Quakertown died Thursday, May 8, 2008 in Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Frances Hartman (Reed) Myers. They were married 72 years last September. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late M. Irwin & Ida (Fox) Myers. He was a graduate of Quakertown High School Class of 1930. After graduating from Bethlehem Business College, he continued his banking education with the Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University graduating in 1949. Before his retirement in December of 1977 he worked at the former Bucks County Bank & Trust Company where he became the Senior Trust Officer and Vice President in 1977 . Reuben was a 60 year active member of the Quakertown Lions Club and Lions Club International. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Quakertown. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Robert R. and his wife Sandy of Quakertown, Sarah Jane Ratzell and her husband Lynn of Nazareth, PA and Richard D. and his wife Donna of Graham, WA. 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother John Howard Myers. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church 102 N. Hellertown Ave., Quakertown, PA 18951.
