Ralph D. Foulke, Sr.

Obituary Ralph D. Foulke, Sr. of Milford Square, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 4, 2020. He was 93. He was the loving husband of Helen (Rathjens) Foulke. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary last September. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late Charles & Hilda (Etter) Foulke. He and two of his brothers were co-owners of the former Charles E. Foulke & Sons Trucking in Sellersville. After retirement he worked for 18 years during the summer months for Milford Township until the age of 84. He was a member of the former St. Johns Lutheran Church in Quakertown. Ralph was proud to be a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Quakertown American Legion Post 242 and the Masonic Lodge #512 for over 50 years. He spent the past 26 winters at the Oaks Campground in Bushnell, Florida. During his time there he won many pool and shuffle championships as recent as age 92. In addition to pool and shuffle Ralph enjoyed poker, cards, hunting, fishing, camping, outdoors, and cheering for the Phillies and Eagles. He loved to travel he visited 49 states and Europe. Known for his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone "Smiling Ralph" as he was known loved spending time with friends and family. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather he is also survived by a daughter Diane Taylor (James) of Lecanto Florida, two sons R. Dean Foulke, Jr. (Mitzi), David Foulke (Maryann) both of Quakertown. Six grandchildren Jennifer, Tara, David, Ryan, Brendan & Tyler, five great grandchildren and two sisters Fay Barndt (Bill) and Shirley Weikert. He was predeceased by three brothers Jack, Etter, and Guy and also a grandson Jason. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
