R. Vernon Bartholomew, 90, of Quakertown died Monday, January 7, 2008 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of the late Elsie V. (Stump) Bartholomew. He was a retired custodian for Strayer Middle School in Quakertown. Prior to that he worked for the former Fretz Pants Factory in Pipersville. He was a life time member of the Quakertown Moose and a U.S. Army Veteran Serving during WW II Vernon was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Perkasie. He is survived by a son Gene and his wife Beverly of Crystal River, Florida and a daughter Loretta Auckland and her husband John of Arkport, New York. Eight grandchildren Jeanine, Todd, Tal, Ty, Mark, Mary Ann, Melinda, and Michelle. Seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church 100 Old Bethlehem Rd., ( Rte 313 & Branch Rd.) Perkasie, PA 18944. Call 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C.
