Paul C. Shelmire, Jr.

Paul C. Shelmire, Jr., 85 of Milford Township died Saturday April 23, 2011 in his home. He was the husband of Eva Haigh Shelmire. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on February 5, 2011. Born in Warminster Township, he was the son of the late Paul C., Sr. and Florence (Bussinger) Shelmire. Paul was co-owner operator of Shelmire Farms in Milford Township with his son Larry. He was awarded the Conservation Farmer of the Year Award in 1996. He was a member of St. John's U.C.C. in Richlandtown. In addition to his wife Eva he is survived by two sons Larry E. at home and Paul C., III and his wife Kelly of Quakertown. A brother John E. of Quakertown and a sister Barbara Lewandowski and her husband Alfonso of Quakertown. Two grandchildren Eva-Jean Shelmire and Paul Shelmire, IV. He was predeceased by sisters Sylvia Bleam and Flora Jane Schwager and a brother Donald. Services will be held on Tuesday April 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Calling hours will be held Monday evening April 25, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 am. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. John's U.C.C.
