Norman R. Texter, of Quakertown, formerly of Bedminster, died November 15th in Belle Haven Nursing Home. He was 82. He was the husband of Pauline (Moyer) with whom he recently celebrated 62 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Frank and Lizzie (Bartholomew) Texter. Prior to his retirement, he worked for many years as a truck driver for B.R. Scholl in Perkasie. Norman will be remembered as a friendly man who knew the value of hard work. He was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching a Phillies game, eating a home cooked meal, and the love of his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son David; three daughters - Patricia Reed, Diane Melton, and Janet Onder; two sisters - Florence Clymer and Marian Labs; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Norman was predeceased by four brothers - Harold, Mahlon, Emerson, Sr., and Charles. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
