Myrtle W. Nase of Sellersville, PA formerly of Perkasie died Saturday April 21, 2007 in Rockhill Mennonite Community. She was 93. She had married Howard M. Nase in August 1937. He died in July of 2006. Born in Trumbauersville, PA on April 15, 1914 Myrtle was the eldest of four children of Franklin K. and Emma (Weidner) George. She graduated from West Chester State Teachers College and taught in the old Trumbauersville Elementary School where she met Howard. She later substituted in the Bucks Co. area and taught fourth grade for many years in Perkasie. Myrtle was a member of Calvary Church, active in its early years in teaching Bible School and Sunday School. In retirement she volunteered thousands of hours at GrandView Hospital. Myrtle is survived by her daughters Nancy (Robert) Thomas of Phoenixville, PA and Janet (Jon) Smucker of Goshen, IN. A sister Naomi Stokes, five beloved grandchildren, Rachel Thomas, Geoff Thomas, Joseph (Teresa) Smucker, Philip (Jessica) Smucker and J. Benjamin (Rachel) Smucker and two great grandchildren, Jacob Smucker and Mary Smucker. She was predeceased by her husband, her brother Glenn George and her sister Ruth Pehlert. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Rockhill Mennonite Community 3250 State Rd. Sellersville, on SATURDAY, MAY 19, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown, PA.
