Miriam N. Landis

Miriam N. Landis, 87, of Richlandtown formerly of Quakertown and Pennsburg died December 4, 2012 in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Martin, Sr. and the late E. Arthur Landis. She was a daughter of the late Charles, Sr. & Edith (Stump) Mann. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Harvey Clothing in Quakertown before retiring. After, retirement she worked for the Richland Elementary School as a cafeteria worker and later at the Quakertown Free Press. Miriam enjoyed cooking, and in return her family and friends enjoyed her cooking creations. She also enjoyed camping, hiking, traveling, and square dancing and got much enjoyment while sitting in many different gardens. She attended Community Baptist Church, Quakertown . She is survived by a daughter Nancy A. Kerver (Edward, Sr.) Pennsburg, a son Dale L. Martin (Sheila) of Birdsboro, PA, daughter in law Kathy Martin of Richlandtown. A brother Charles Mann (Stephanie) of Quakertown, two sisters Eileen Hohl (Richard) of Quakertown, Janice Fendrick (Frank) of Macungie. An aunt Dorothy Mann of Quakertown. She is also survived by four step children Peggy Benner (Ted) of Quakertown, Nancy Kuhns (Dick) of Perkasie, Jerry Landis (Diane) of Quakertown, Barbara Fox ( Philip) of the Phoenix Area, AZ. Three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a great great grandchild, two step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Paul, Jr. Services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.
