Melva J. Endean, 87, of Quakertown died peacefully May 6, 2012 in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Endean for 49 years. Born in Allentown she was the daughter of the late Arthur & Lottie (Silvus) Marsh. She was a bookkeeper for many years at different area businesses. Melva was a charter member of the Richland One Room School Historical Society and served as past president, vice president, and treasurer. She was also a member of the Quakertown Historical Society and the Keystone Quilters of Quakertown. She was a member of Trinity Great Swamp U.C.C., and a member of the Ladies Aid Quilters, and the church garden club. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, always sharing her lovely smile and kindness with everyone. She will be missed forever by her survivors two sons, William L (Judy) of Coopersburg, Charles H. (Rosie) of Montana, and a daughter Shirley Stalford (David) of Ontario, Canada. A sister Doris Flyte of Nazareth, PA. Six grandchildren, Mark, and Jeffrey Stalford, Amanda, Jo Ann, David, and Daniel Endean and three great grandchildren Meaghan, Coleman Endean, and Cameron Stalford. A niece Dolores Gordon. Services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
