Melba L. Olshevski, 91, of Pleasant Valley, died Sunday, May 24th, 2009 in the home of her son Timothy with whom she resided. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Olshevski for 69 years. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse by several local nursing homes. She was blessed with the gift of hospitality and entertained many pastors, evangelists, and missionaries in her home. She enjoyed playing the piano, organ, accordion, and guitar. She loved preserving garden produce grown on her property. Melba loved and enjoyed her family very much and attended the former Assembly of God Church, now Morning Star Fellowship. Surviving her are three sons - Rev. David W. and his wife Janis of Greenville, PA; Rev. Gerald L. and his wife Lydia of North East, PA; and Timothy T. and his wife Robin of Pleasant Valley; a daughter Janet E. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; four grandchildren - Scott, Jodi, Heather, and Timmy; and two great grandchildren - Jordan and Ethan. She was predeceased by a brother Warren Koch. Services will be held Saturday, May 30th at 12:30PM at C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown. Calling hours will take place from 11:30AM to 12:30PM.
