Maude F. Shearer

Maude F. Shearer, 79 of Lower Milford Township died Sunday February 3, 2008 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ellsworth S. Shearer, Jr. Born in Wescosville she was the daughter of the late Morris and Rose (Kuhns) Schmoyer. From 1964 to 1982 she and her late husband owned and operated the former Linda Lake in Spinnerstown. She enjoyed playing the lottery and casino bus trips. Maude also enjoyed socializing with friends at the Spinnerstown Hotel. She was a member of Trinity Great Swamp United Church of Christ, Spinnerstown. Maude loved her family and especially her grandchildren she also enjoyed cooking for family. She is survived by her children Doris Carber of Colmar, Sandra Bloss of Coopersburg, Peggy Banes of Quakertown, Roy of Zionsville and Todd of Coopersburg. Brother and sister, Lester Schmoyer and Lillian Stott both in Florida. Eleven grandchildren Mike, Mark, Matt, Aaron, Jeremy, Benjamin, Eric, Caitlin, Chase, Shaila and Crystal, Six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Linda Shive. Services will be held on Wednesday February 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
