Mary E. Deininger, 85, of Quakertown died October 2, 2010 in her home. She was the wife of the late W. John Deininger. Born in Gilbert, Pa she was the daughter of the late Irene Mae Parfitt, who along with her father Ike Parfitt raised Mary. She retired from Grand View Hospital as a housekeeping aide. Mary was an avid cross stitcher, loved shopping, and enjoyed baking cookies especially kiffles. She was also lovingly called the Coleslaw Queen by her family. She enjoyed trips to Blue Mt. Fishing Lakes. Mary also loved and cherished her grandchildren. She is survived by a son Jack and his wife Lynn of Quakertown, three daughters Carol Fost and her husband John of Richlandtown, Kathie Swartley and her husband Steven of Quakertown and Kimberley Dilts and her husband Mark of Richlandtown. Two sisters Edith "DeeDee" Bisko of Mahanoy City, and Laverne Hicks of Maryland. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Another great grandchild is due in December. Services will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Thursday 12:30-2:00 P.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Rehabilitation Services at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center 108 S.
