Mary Ann McCarthy, 78, of Chicopee, Massachusettes died October 27, 2006 in the home of her daughter in Quakertown, PA. She was the wife of the late Robert M. McCarthy. Born in Holyoke, MA she was the daughter of the late Louis & Barbara (Markocki) Syrek. She was an inspector for Spalding Sports before retiring. She was a member of Mater Dolorosa in Holyoke. She is survived by a daughter Linda McCarthy Jaegers and her husband Kurt. A sister Josephine (Jaye) Prosciak of Easthampton. One granddaughter Audra Jaegers. A niece Bonnie Harrison and her husband Jim and nephew Bobby Prosciak. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at Mater Dolorosa 71 Maple St. Holyoke, MA. There will be no calling hours.
