Mary A. Dietz, 100, of Quakertown died August 22, 2011 in Belle Haven Nursing Home, Quakertown. She was the wife of the late Paul Dietz. Born in Quakertown she was the daughter of the late Melvin L. & Jennie S. (Moyer) Gerhart. She worked for the former Merrill Rush's Tasty Candy Store, Quakertown before retiring. Mary played basketball and ran track for Quakertown Community High School. She was a member of the Quakertown United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Triple Link Class, a former Sunday School teacher and superintendant. She is survived by a son P. Donald of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and a daughter Harriet D. Young and her husband Donald of Quakertown. Eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Harry L. Services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at Quakertown United Methodist Church 1875 Freier Rd. Quakertown.
