Marion J. Stump, 92, of Doylestown formerly of Westfield, NJ died July 4, 2011 at Heritage Towers, Doylestown. She was the loving wife of the late Richard B. Stump. They were married 56 years before his death in 2004. A member of the greatest generation she was born in Princeton, NJ and the daughter of the late Reuben & Charlotte (Bierds) Johnson. She was a service representative for Bell Telephone in Westfield, NJ. Marion graduated from Princeton High School and Douglas College. She was a girl scout leader and a den mother. She had many close Westfield friends and enjoyed bowling and the bridge club. Since 1955 she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Westfield, NJ where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women's Society. The last years of her life she resided in Heritage Towers in Doylestown and appreciated the loving care provided her by the very caring staff. She was the loving mother who raised three children in Westfield, her daughter Judith McGovern (Michael) of Quakertown, her son Steven Stump (Trudy Faloon) of Austin, Texas and her late son Richard B. Stump, Jr. She is also survived by a grandson Daniel Demarest of Wind Gap, PA., and several nieces and nephews. The family will hold a memorial service on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Heritage Towers, 200 Veterans Lane, Doylestown, PA 18901. Burial of her ashes will take place on Saturday, July 9th at 11:00 A.M. in the Memorial Gardens of the First United Methodist Church, 1 East Broad St. Westfield, NJ. 07090.
