Margaret A. Latshaw, 72, of Quakertown died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. Born in Haycock Twsp., Bucks County she was the daughter of the late John & Marie (Raab) Rathjens. She was a 1st grade teacher at Tohickon Valley Elementary School in the Quakertown Community School District where she was excited about starting her 32nd year of teaching in the fall. In 1966, at the age of 34 with 3 young children, she left her secretarial position and went back to school to start her collegiate education which resulting in her obtaining a bachelor's degree in 1972 and her master's degree in 1976 from Kutztown State Teachers College. She was an active supporter and volunteer of the Relay for Life. She is survived by a son Craig A. Latshaw and his wife Stephanie J. of Coopersburg. A daughter Jackie Latshaw-Stout and her husband Dale of Great Falls, Virginia. A brother Jacob Rathjens of Haycock Twsp., and two sisters Helen Foulke of Milford Square and Jeanette Czerwonka of Doylestown. Four grandchildren Megan, Katie, Cole, & Shaun. She was predeceased by a son Scott A. Latshaw, MD. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. (www.crstrunk.com). Call Tuesday evening 7:00-8:30 P.M. and Wednesday 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
